Default Dell 1397 WLAN mini card channels - 12-20-2012, 12:01 PM

I have a Dell mini 1010 netbook and want to be able to change the location of my Dell wireless 1397 mini-card. I live in the Greece and use channel 12 on my router ( i get major interference with anything less!) the trouble is the drivers for the WLAN card are set to USA and so it only scans for channels 1-11
any idea how this can be changed ive downloaded the latest drivers but it still only has USA for the location

Exclamation 12-21-2012, 03:56 PM

I downloaded the drivers from european site but still same problem... i think it is not drivers problem at all it happens because the drivers installer see my windows as USA locale...
and although i changed the system locale to Greek and reinstall the drivers despite the installer started in Greek language which made me thought the problem will be solved nothing happened still keep USA setting and do not allows me to use channels 12,13
the only reasonable solution i can think now is to use an external wifi adapter to connect to my router idk...

Wehre do Check for Location?
Normales you can change the settings within device Manager.
With actual driver it is possible.
