Default Charger Light not Working - 05-20-2011, 03:52 AM

So I am new on the forum, but I have used it in the past to install osx on my dell mini and look at other tips. The other day I notice the light on my charger stopped working randomly. It still charges my battery and the indicator on the netbook still works. Is there something I can do to fix the light on the charger? Is this normal?

Thanks

if its for a 1010, its a couple of years old and yes I have heard of it happening before, short of replacing the adapter there is nothing else you can do......

Thats what I wanted to know. I have barely used it and the light just stopped working one day. I guess thats why the netbooks are so cheap.

While I think the LED on the power plug is a nice feature, I wouldn't worry much about it if the charger still charged OK. But new chargers are available on Ebay for $20 or so shipped, so if it really bothers you, that might be an option. This guy has many of them, $20 incl shipping...oem Dell

Count yourself lucky. My 1010 is so old (2009) the charger that came with it; NEVER had a Led light to even go out. haha; fdalbor

Hate to say this; but mine came from Wal Mart; they probably had Dell make some extra special cheaper ones without a Led light to save a extra 75 cents. fdalbor
