However, if this new Mini 10 turns out to be as upgradable as the Mini 9, I will not only wait until it comes out, but will also wait until they have it available in RED. That is going to take a while... Anyone interested in buying a Black Mini 9 practically brand new..??? |

I think I am a true netbook person, who just wants to look at some scores and websites and do some light typing. If I want to do more, we have two other computers that can do it all. But for those who want it, the Mini 10 sounds appealing--if the drive is upgradable. |

The graphics chip will not be GMA950, its reported to be GMA500... good luck hacking OSX on that, and while your at it, forget the TV tuner if you are going to hack to Mac. And 3G is going to cost an arm and a leg... $70 a month for 2 years = 1680 + MSRP... OUCH I'm sticking with the 9. Its the only model that really makes sense and can run OSX. |

This is one of the chips used by the Mini12, and Intel has limited this chip to 1GB of memory (Mini12 comes with 1GB soldered to mainboard). Lately, Intel has been down-talking netbooks; I think they are concerned about the thin profit margin in this segment and the impact it is having with their mainstream chips. With this in mind, is the purpose of the Z520 & Z530 chips to create a wider divide between the capabilities of netbooks and notebooks? Consider that the Mini 9 uses the older N270 Atom. This is a 1.6Ghz chip that handles up to 2GB of memory. Add a big SSD and most people are very happy. Me? I am not surrendering my N270 for a Z530 with equivalent performance, slightly better power management, but half the memory. Wish we could get a Mini 10 with the N270, 2GB Ram, 64GB SSD, and a better graphics solution (NVidia or Ati). Lee |

The 10's feature set is extremely impressive. But I think those features will be exactly it's downfall... price. There's no way the Mini 10 is in Netbook pricing territory - 3G, GPS, gesture touchpad, tv tuner... it's got to be twice the price of a Mini 9! |
