I think that might be because the 2GB option will not be available right away. It is listed in the "Coming Soon" section along with a 250GB HD.

I wonder when dell will incorporate the atom 1.86 GHz option. That is much required for this pouslbo's smooth operation. The earlier they realize the earlier they get my money.

Pretty much. It's as if they're selling the first models to those who are less technically savvy (or just dumb, in general) and holding off on the models worth buying to the more educated folks.
