Will I have problems with overheating if I close the lid on my 1010 while using an external monitor? I'm mainly worried about ruining the LCD from too much heat... Would a chill mat help things out in this case? Never had any experience with them. Mini 1010 (back from the dead) Studio 1555 |

I got one and I love it...doesnt drain the battery and I am sure that it helps...how can it not?   about $20 from BestBuy..comes in Black also  |

Yeah she's running about 180 degrees with the room temp being 92 degrees and the lid shut!  I'm gonna run by the store and give one of those things a try, thanks! Mini 1010 (back from the dead) Studio 1555 |

I use a cooler and it certainly helps keep the base cooler, but heat travels up, not down so I think that keeping the lid closed will contain the heat and still create problems. |

If air is forced through the vents, it might help some, I may buy one to test it, and return it if it doesn't end up helping... Mini 1010 (back from the dead) Studio 1555 |
