Default Dell mini 10 Bios walktrhough - 08-12-2010, 01:05 AM

I am in dire need for someone to point me in the right direction. My lcd screen is damaged. I don't feel like springing for a new panel. I have a few extra old monitors that will suffice for a display(making the mini non portable).

This works fine when I boot to windows, but I was in the process of getting ready to install unbuntu. I have a usb stick and cd burnt, but I can't figure out how to get either the bios to show on the external monitor, or how to boot from either device (When I bypassed both during normal boot before the crash).

Can someone either tell me how to get the monitor working on startup, or can someone post either screen shots of the bios or key strokes to get the cdrom and/usb devices in the boot order?

Thanks,

Default Update: Still looking! - 02-04-2011, 06:00 PM

I am reading several guides on how to downgrade the bios or install win7 off of a usb stick. Many of them call out the Assumption that you have already set the bios to allow for boot from usb. That is my problem... I can't see the bios screens, so I need someone to either create a guide or point me in the right direction so that I can blindly navigate the bios to enable this option...

Thanks in advance!

It would be cool if anybody can upload somewhere a working Ubuntu image file what we just need to copy to the HDD.
