Default Weird brown spots on the screen - 07-19-2010, 08:13 AM

Hey I received my new Dell Mini 1010 just yesterday, and it didn't take long before I discovered som weird brown spots on the screen. It's not possible to clean off and it looks like it's under the front glass of the screen.

I realize they are not that easy to see on this image.
They are very small an not always noticeable (mostly in applications with white backgrounds) but I wonder if this could be damaged pixels or something around that? Am I an idiot or should I return the unit?

Thanks for your input.

Those look like imperfections in your lcd panel so I would pursue the RMA...

I RMA'ed the unit last week, and got it back today.

The screen was replaced. The new screen however, has a max resolution of 1024x576, while my old screen had a max resolution of 1366x768.

The hinges of the screen now feels like someone has filled them with sand, and the screen will no longer stay in position when it is closed.

Whatever Dell did to my computer, it is far worse now than what it was. I have called the support again and they promised to call me back when they had found out what went wrong.

My poor Mini
