Default Screen turns Green or blank if the screen moves :S - 06-18-2010, 04:06 PM

I bought my netbook in March in 2009 a few days after I bought it I noticed that if I move the lid too fast the screen would turn green or go blank and if I just jiggled the lid it would go back to normal.

Being the lazy person that I am, I just dealt with it, but now I am sick if it and want to figure out a solution - stupid me I decide to deal with it after my warranty has expired :s

From all the searching I have done it looks like my Display Cable Connector is loose and I just need to push it in - does anyone have an ideas or suggestions on what I can do?

Well, you can hope that's all it is. You will have to at least partially disassemble the Mini to get at the video connector on the mainboard and reseat it. It may also be that the cable is pinched in the hinge and a conductor is stretched or broken - that can be harder to fix. If you're lucky, disassembling the lid and rerouting the cable will do it.
