Holmes4 has the answer and I could not agree with him more. Just yesterday I installed a codex that someone on Dell Mini forum suggested I try to help video playback. Not that mine is bad; but we always want it to be better.
It made my system (1010) run like a broke Turtle. I could not believe how slow it made everything, even when I wasn't doing videos. I went to control panel and removed the codex and the other programs it installed that were all added to the start up.
Now my system is back up to speed. Also when it was installed the new codex made video performance twice as slow as what I was using before. Luckly I keep all my programs on USB flash drives so it was a simple to reinstall the old codex. fdalbor
Oh yea; good luck with your Mini; its not a bad little system. In the course of time you will find many things suggested by members to help you get the performance the mini can give. If something does not work; delete it and try something else. Take care.
