Does the 1010 and the 1011 use the same battery?

Not exactly, they are very similar though, but one requires shaving off a little bit of plastic around the can do a search on the forum to get more info..

PS. Welcome to the forum...

As 6-cell battery is designed for the mini 10 when used on the mini 10v you need to carve out the cavities at both ends of the battery a little bit so the locking pins can slide all the way.
