I think any version of Ubuntu from the last couple years should "work". It's just awkward/difficult to get the GMA500 graphics to work well on the old Mini 10. Here's info about getting the graphics to work best with Ubuntu: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupp...oCardsPoulsbo/
If you play to dual-boot, make sure you have the ability to fix Windows if something goes wrong with the install. If you plan to use Ubuntu alone, make sure you can restore Win7 if you want to in the future.

That's actually a good idea. I have an EEE with bad sector errors and I used an EEEbuntu SD chip on that so it functions. I've been havving trouble getting the mini 10 to alternate boot, though. It recognizes other drives, but won't boot from them when I highlight them and hit enter. It always boots from Windows. Am I doing something wrong?
