Default Mini 10 or mini10v ? - 03-09-2010, 05:36 AM

Hello everyone.
My name is Nicolas and I'm from Argentina.
I'm going to buy my first netbook but I can not decide ..
I have a pc for work and daily use, I want a netbook to take to college and travel, I don't need a lot of power or a huge hard drive, but if I'm interested in is the 6-cell battery.
What should I buy? Does the Mini 10 or Mini 10v? .. That's the problem

Well, that's all, sorry for my English: D

Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Nicolas.

If long battery life is important, then the new Mini 10 (Inspiron 1012) is the one you want, with the 6-cell battery.

If price isn't an issue, the Toshiba NB305-N410BL has (confirmed) 11hrs of battery life. It's just under $400 though.

The 1010 has better battery life than the 10v. I also think it has a much nicer keyboard then the 1012. Not to mention, better form factor (smexy). You should be able to pick a 1010 or 10v up at the outlet for just under $200 if you wait for a 15% coupon.

Good luck!

if you're gonna go for the 10v you'd better hurry, dont think that they are gonna be around too much longer....
