Default GPS for mini 10 - 01-03-2010, 09:21 PM

I bought my mini 10 on June 09, and it did not had the GPS included.
I would like to buy it, but I can't find it on the Dell Website.
What is is exactly ? A card ? A USB thing ?

Thanks !

You can't just install the gps, sorry. This is frustrating, I may have bought my netbook too early because I'm stuck with 1gb of ram but I did get the gps.

You would be better off getting a USB GPS stick, it will be compatible with windows 7 unlike the dell gps

Default GPS and Windows 7 - 02-09-2010, 08:34 PM

I've been looking at the Mini 10 trying to put together the one I want. It seems that I cant get one with Windows 7 and GPS. Do you think this will be available soon? I really want to pack it with all the stuff I can and those 2 are pretty high on my list.

I dont think GPS was out in June 09, I got mine in July 09 and it wasnt available yet...I am just as glad because I wanted the TV Tuner which I got and you cant have both...I would rather have the TV, I couldnt picture myself leaving the Mini on the front seat and listening to or watching the screen, and if you stop short it goes flying down to the floor....wrong....I will stick to my TomTom on the windshield have leave my Mini in the case where it belongs, you can probably get the board if you want to, I am sure it will require substancial disassembly of the seems everything does...

If you really want it that bad I guess USB is the way to go, and besides Dell has no drivers for Win 7....

and Welcome to the forum PalusMus.. and why dont you just order it with XP and GPS and when the drivers for Win 7 are available just load Win 7 least you'll have the system by then
