I upgraded a dell mini 10 (1010) to Windows 7 and I cannot get the TV Tuner to install. It lists under Other devices, Dell Digital TV and there's a yellow exclamation mark on it. I tried to install driver and I browsed to the path of the extracted Win 7 driver from dell, which is C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R229866 and also "Include Subfolders" is checked, and it still says "Windows could not find driver software for your device."

There is also a setup program there and I ran it but that didn't fix the problem. Both the Hauppage WinTV or Windows Media Center do not see any TV Tuners, and the device manager remains showing a problem on the device.

here's how I did it:

1) go to Dell and under W7 there are only 2 drivers. DL them both and install
2) go to Dell and under XP there are 5 drivers, 2 of which are the same as the W7 ones. DL the 3 that are different and install them

after this, you will see the Dell Digital TV app in your start menu. last Saturday I was in SF Chinatown and while eating turned on the TV, got about 27 channels, picked one and let it play throughout lunch. worked perfectly fine and no freezing and no BSOD

The very first thing I did when I got my Mini 10 was format the hard drive and install Win 7 Pro (rather than starter). I have done this many times in the past as most of the drivers and software are on Dell's site or the included CD. But for some reason, they are not easily found. The Dell Digital TV software is not listed under Windows 7 and I could not find it anywhere until I read this post. I tried installing WinTV as the tuner is a Happuage, but it was saying it could not find a supported device! The Dell Digital TV software is, in fact, under Windows XP. It's labeled as "CyberLink - Application" and the download is R214971.exe.

The very first thing I did when I got my Mini 10 was open the box (lol)
