Default LCD Screen Question-did I get an Upgrade? - 11-18-2009, 06:48 AM

Ok, I just received my netbook back from Dell after a few issues. I was told that my LCD Screen is the following Model # 10.1 WSVGA W/LED, and that this is an upgrade (costs more) than my old LCD Screen, Model # 10.1 WSVGA. However, on their site, I cannot find an LCD Screen update option. So, was I fed a line of BS or is this an upgrade? My resolution started at 1024 X 576, however, I can change it, but of course it doesn't fit on the screen.

I appreciate the help.

Your description includes 'wled' which will mean it has a white led backlight rather than the older fluorescent back lights, so it could be described as an upgrade!

I can change the resolution, but it does not fit on the screen. For example, 1024 X 768 does not fit in the screen perfectly. I checked out the sticky thread about the oval pixels and went to that site and the circles look like circles to me. I'm just trying to make sure that I didn't get short changed.
