Default Noisy HDD - 10-28-2009, 10:02 AM

Dear all,
i have installed windows 7 and i have noticed that the HDD always making a crunky little noise like the noise when the hdd starts reading.Like the head of hdd is making little moves. I have tried the device for a couple of days with Xp and i think (or just didnt noticed) this sound. HDD diagnostics say the disk is in perfect condition. I have disabled the windows indexing service but the sound is still there.
Reading other forums i saw posts that say that HDD makes this littke noice in some intervals but all HDD tests pass successfully.

Actually is like seeking sound.

Do you have any personal experience on this issue?
Is it something normal or i have to worry about?
The mini 10 is a week's old and with few hours work.

Can i take some actions and disable any service or software to stop this sound or is normal?

Is really the HDD of mini that noisy? Or maybe something of windows 7 maked the disk working continuasly?

Adjusting the drive's AAM setting may reduce noise.
