Neezie, im also tired of the GMA500 problems! Installed UNR 9.04 and UNR 9.10 and tried most of the guides to get the damn drivers to work, but most of the time is 2d only. And all of that is far more work than it is worth installing.. Im back on Win7 for now an sticking to it untill the GMA500 poulsbo drivers gets opened or some better and WORKING alternatives has come forth..
Please read below about the problem with the GMA500 chip and the problem with the supported closed drivers..

When I hear from Jon_J about how the seed program Mandriva uses works I hope to have better luck with the USB flash drive. There is a big article on the Mandriva site about using Unetbootin to install it; but it does not work at all. I even downloaded the latest version of Unetbootin (377) and its still a no go.
I sure was hoping this would be a good distro for the 1010. We sure could use a break after all the trouble we are having. I hate to say it; but XP works fine after I downloaded the 6-14-11-1012 driver and installed it. Video is a snap now with XP. Still I would like to use both XP and some version of Linux. fdalbor
