Ha ... ha ... ha.
Anyways, no, I haven't tried it, but I'm curious about it. Windows XP works well enough for me, though.

Received lowest quality mini 9 with 512 megs RAM, 4 GB SSD. Additions:
-4 GB SSD [2 GB SD Card: getting 16 GB SDHC]
Sold for $180 so I could buy Mini 10, XP/Ubuntu, 160GB HD, 1GB RAM, 1366x768 screen, 6-cell for $260.
[Extra screen space IS AMAZING, as is having a working keyboard]

i have not tried it (yet).

i doubt you will find anyone who has or will. the project is progressing nicely now (something tells that Summer of code really helped) but it still lacks several important features not the least of which is wireless drivers. and before you go looking at the site and see a news post about those drivers being ported from BSD, let me say that the dell wireless 1397 (the "basic" b/g one) reports itself as being a broadcom chipset which is NOT yet supported by the wireless port. again, i haven't tested this yet myself, but the install process is supposed to be a pain because of partitioning and the boot manager (GRUB or ..haiku?).

if anyone actually does do this though, please let us know!!

i used to have beos 4.5 and 5.0 on my pc long time ago and it was really cool OS back then but it is very sensitive about hardware setup sometime it will fail on video hardware and this haiku OS is in alpha version so wait for 2nd beta or release candidate to come out the old beos doesn't support newer video and wireless and sata hard ware lol yep i still have BeOs cds in box
