Default Mini 10 gone from Dell UK website - 08-29-2009, 05:46 PM

Dell only seem to be selling the Mini 10v model currently on their website. Is this the end of the Mini 10?

- Simon.

I checked and saw only the 10v as well. Are there any rumors about Dell's roadmap with regards to their netbook plans?

With the things they are adding to the 1010, (2megs ram etc) it does not seem likely they are dropping the 1010 without something to replace it. But then with Dell you never know. fdalbor

I think the 10 as we know it is going to go for good. In the US the 'limited time only' deal sounds like a way to unburden some parts and clear the decks. Intel are rumoured to be killing off the Z-series Atoms in the Autumn so Dell won't be able to get the chips to build many more anyway. The 10v will remain as it's using the older N-series Atoms and soon, I imagine, the 10v will be renamed plain ol' 10.

Weld on 2Gb of memory and add the HD screen option and I'd be tempted myself (if I wasn't typing this on a new 10 from Dell Outlet that arrived this morning)

It seems you can still order a Mini 10 but not from the main Mini 10 webpage - if you enter the e-value code NPUK09-N00M1001 you can order a Z520 model for £279 or if you go to the Mini Deals webpage there is a link to the Z530 model for £299.
