Default TV Tuner and GPS in the new 2bg RAM Mini 10 - 08-29-2009, 03:26 PM

Does anyone have any idea if you can install the tv tuner and gps yourself in the newer mini 10 with 2gb of ram? (Not the mini 10v) And i just realized in the title i put 2bg, i meant 2gb.

I did the opposite, I took the new mini 10 that i ordered and swapped the 2GB Atom/RAM card in my other mini 10 that has TV and WWAN cards. Only issue is that the 2GB cards are a different shape then the 1GB cards, so it required a little bit of modifcation to fit correctly in the older chassis.

To answer your question, yes it is possible but u will need to solder your own mini pcie header, and drill a hole for the tv antenna, and obtain the hauppauge mini pcie tv tuner card/antenna.
