Default Overactive HD on the Mini 10? - 08-23-2009, 02:03 PM

Hi all - just received a Mini 10, upgraded from my previous well-traveled and weather-worn Acer Aspire One netbook.

So far, I really like the 10, especially after removing most of the Dell bloatware that comes pre-installed.

I've noticed that the hard disk on the Mini 10 seems to be in a state of a lot of activity. Nothing that drags performance down but I can hear the HD spinning and even though the unit is equipped with only 1GB of RAM I wouldn't expect the HD to be as active as it is. So far, looking at running services / processes hasn't shown anything out of the ordinary, though.

Anyone else notice this?
