Default Recently bought a Dell Mini 10 from my college store - 08-22-2009, 03:30 AM

but there's just something I can't comprehend.

Here are the specifics:

If you can't see that:
CPU: Intel Atom N270 1.6 Ghz
Screen: 10.1 Widescreen
Video: GMA Accelerator
Hardrive: 160 GB
Wireless b/g
Windows XP

What I don't understand is that the CPU is n270. I've looked at all the mini 10 at Dell and don't see that option for the CPU. I do know that it's for the mini 10v.

They have the model on display at my school, but I can't remember the specifics really. So help me out, is it the 10v or the 10? Really hoping it's the 10v so I can upgrade the ram.

by the way, what's the max ram I can get on this thing? 2gb right?

That's the 10v. And yes, 2 gigs of RAM is the max.
I dunno about being happy about it, the 10v doesn't have the widescreen. mmmmm widescreen. [looks at new mini 10.]

@ below: Eh, I'd still buy something from the Outlet ... I paid $260 for mine, and that's with 1366x768 screen and 6-cell.
I'm just absurdly happy that it's here. :P The keyboard is larger than the keyboard I use connected to my normal computer [Apple wired]. Seriously. And it has Windows XP [all my other windows computers broke, heh]! And the screen is sooooooo sharp [drools]. I'm gonna use it to have two word files open next to each other!

Received lowest quality mini 9 with 512 megs RAM, 4 GB SSD. Additions:
-4 GB SSD [2 GB SD Card: getting 16 GB SDHC]
Sold for $180 so I could buy Mini 10, XP/Ubuntu, 160GB HD, 1GB RAM, 1366x768 screen, 6-cell for $260.
[Extra screen space IS AMAZING, as is having a working keyboard]

Okay, thanks. I wonder why they would leave out the v in 10v >_<

As for the widescreen thing, I'm not really worried as I'm only using this for school temporarily with occasional gaming (Warcraft 3 if it runs to my liking). I'm ditching this when I have enough money to get a real notebook instead of a netbook.
