Red face New Dell Windows 7 Drivers - 08-19-2009, 07:09 PM

I was just looking on the Dell support site and they have added a few Mini 10 divers for windows 7, they are for the wireless control and touch pad but this would point to the fact they will release the 10 with 7 loaded.

I am currently a new Mini 10 user and switch to Windows 7 the day after I got my hands on the Dell and it is great. to the point I will be loading 7 to other PC's at home that could only run XP in the past.

I need a driver for a USB->Serial cable. All the ones I have tried keep causing a BSOD. Hopefully with Win7 very near on the horizon we will have solutions for the few things that won't work in it.

The Windows XP GPS drivers work fine in Windows 7. I have full GPS functionality going on mine now, Skyhook and all.

I don't remember the brand but my USB->Serial cable works fine under Windows 7 using the existing drivers suppied with it.

You get a lock with copilot also? I installed the drivers and copilot can see the gps but I only get a lock with 1 satellite.

When you get a chance, can you check and find out what brand? I have an older Belkin, but I can't get any drivers to work with it under 7, and it's driving me nuts. Thankfully, I don't generally need it all that often.

does it have something to do with the usb to uart device not being installed? If so, which drivers do I need for that device? I have tried many different ones but I never know which is the right one.
