If you install the Dell driver they probably aren't needed.

But I exported the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Global Locate key from under Windows XP and imported it under Windows 7, then changed the value for GpsComPort under the Gpsct subkey to reflect the hardware GPS device. And it worked after that.

my dell laptop does not have 'dell wireless',either.

focus on the battery development.
