| Junior Member Posts: 2 Join Date: Aug 2009 | Okay I think I have a solution, try this: - Right click on your desktop and select "properties" - Go to the "settings" tab - Press "advanced" - Under the General tab of the new window find DPI settings - Change the drop down from Large to "normal 96 DPI". This stops windows from being chops off and seems to nicely resize everything! I hope this works for you too.Quote:

| Founder Posts: 1,855 Join Date: Sep 2008 Location: Hampshire, UK | Maybe you should try Astray, it can be used to set the screen resolution with a text file, many of us early Mini 9 users used it to set the resolution at boot until the BIOS came out. |

| Junior Member Posts: 1 Join Date: Sep 2009 Location: Sac | I think the problem is that Dell is relying on the Plug and Play monitor driver. I made the mistake of letting one of the support techs try to remote in and "fix" the problem. It was crazy watching this guy work.. He fumbled around my machine for an hour before he gave up. Anyone got a monitor.inf file off a non-hd mini 10? Maybe a generic monitor inf file will work? |
