Default Windows 7 on Mini 10 minimum config - 08-09-2009, 08:04 PM

I ran the xp for about a month. it worked fine.
I have now put in a new 320 gig drive and installed the release version of Windows 7 Home Premium. I was very careful during after the install to only load what I needed as I want to keep the memory usage as low as I could.
So far I have the following loaded
Windows 7 - I have turned off all services I felt I did not need. No aero.
Avast anti-virus - Not sure if it is the smalles but it works.
Intel GMA 500 driver - This sucks up more than 150MB. Need a smaller driver.
Dell WSED - This is used to turn bluetooth or wireless on and off. Removed it from boot up so I only load it when I need to turn one on or off.

Other than that it is all windows 7 drivers. I will only add or update drivers if I find a problem. So with it set up this way after boot up I'm using 460MB. I would like to get it below 400 but I do not see how other than to remove the GMA driver.
So far video playback is a lot smoother. As I test streaming from the net I will up date this post.

****Edit 08/10/09**** Watched streaming videos from and TNT network last night and both worked great. Funy thing was that the ads on ABC sucked and were un watchable.

What is the driver called for that? i see a few that say wireless control and one that says wireless & battery. Damn dell drivers are so confusing. Also did your driver installs hang for like 5min before they began installing?
