Just wanted to say I really appreciate all the work he's putting into trying to get the Mini 10 display to work properly. That's all!

I own one and I like it to work correctly. And I know alot of people out there own Mini 10(1010)'s as well.

I work for the FAA with a great group of folks. And We learned over the years watching other tech Horde information to themselves just hurts others.

So When I learn something new that can help others I Like to be able to share it in the best form I can.

If there are any Dell Mini 12 Owners out there that read this. Most all the Dell Mini 10 Fixes will work on the Dell Mini 12 as they share the same Chipsets.

Anyways.. Thanks For the Kudos. I will do my best to keep more information coming in. Im working on a step by step on how to Load Windows 7 on your netbook if you already have Ubuntu Loaded and make it dual Bootable. I just finished dual booting mine last night. And I must say. Windows 7 run incredibly smooth and stable on the Mini 10(1010) Including the graphics. Im very impressed.

Dell Mini 10 (1010) - Kubuntu 9.04 / Windows 7 / Ubuntu 9.04 / Fedora 11 / CentOS 5 / More to Try Later
Do You have GMA 500 Graphics? Want to run Ubuntu 9.04 Here is a Link on How-To and get the best FrameRate possible and the correct Resolution.

Default it did for me too - 07-31-2009, 11:38 PM

AT FIRST. and then it became inexplicably unstable, refusing to play any video. I could get it fixed by uninstalling the intel driver, rebooting and reinstalling fresh, and then it would quit again the next day. I spent like 2 days screwing with it before dumping it to try ubuntu again.

That plus the touchpad is INSANELY sensitive, and I couldn't figure out a way to turn it down, except by disabling tap to click. That was deal breaker for me though, because I'm very used to the flawless touchpad experience on my macbook pro.

Dual boot would be rad of both worlds.
