| Awesome video, Anguish! I followed along and paused to consult the edocs for exact locations of screws, cables, etc. Having diagrams to go with your narrative and video worked out great. This after I tried to unscrew the teeny torx screw in the middle of the hard drive! :O I actually bent a teeny flat head screw trying that. Luckily, nothing was damaged on the hard drive and it is running normally. 2038 RAM! Woot! Now on to the hackintoshing! Thanks again! |

| Atome, glad you got it squared away! I hate the screws and loctite, as it's very easy to strip them. Once they're out the first time though, it's usually not a problem afterwards though. Thanks again for all the comments everyone! It is appreciated! I'm already contemplating another video for a Windows 7/OS X dual boot install. Haven't decided to what depth I want to go with it though.

| Anguish, Probable the best video demonstration I have ever watched. It is so good of you to take the time to make it easier for folks that can do this. As for me, I'm to chicken to perform this surgery. Looks like I won't be getting a 10 unless I can find someone to do this or Dell comes up with something. |

| Yes and not sure yet. When it heats up, all the heat I've been feeling has been on the same side of the hard drive (as best I recollect). I figured it couldn't hurt.

| Very well done. You really covered all the details very well. I think that in itself makes a tough job become much more plausible. Your excellent demo makes me want to take it on....and I don't even have a 10v! |

| Anguish, Your information on the forums has been a big part of my decision to go with a dell mini10v. Thanks for your sharing of information. I already used MacG's upgrade guide here on the forum to upgrade to 2gb, but keep it coming! The video's are a great way to explain things in more detail. thanks, Leganto
