I have a very nice collection of computers and gadgets, going back to CP/M. I have 10-15 Ataris (my first computer), 20-30 Macs and Apple IIs, including a Bandai Pippin and... |

| Hey Webbi, I tried my OS X 10v on a LCD Panel (Dell 19") and it worked fine for a variety of resolutions. I tried it real quick on an LCD projector and it was a no go. Also, I had issues running in mirror mode with the Dell LCD. Only had 5 mins to test, but will be a bit more thorough when I get back from vacation. I do have 10A380 SL ready to be tested, just need to find 3 hours ![]()

| MacG, I got my mini 10v yesterday with a 2gb ram chip. I used your guide for the upgrade. It was very helpful. You should add a step 8 to reattach the wireless card however. I just went backwards through the instructions so I could see the pics again myself. Prying off the plastic without messing it up was the most challenging part, that and reattaching the wireless antenna. But Walter is happy and booting into Win7 with 2gb Ram. thanks, Leganto

| MacG, Thank you for this awesome post. Helped out a lot! Yeah I was having a hard time with this as well. I found using an old credit card and sliding it along the seam, after I pried it apart a bit with my nails, worked really well. |

| Nice breakdown guide! I am a fellow collector of classic apple hardware and I thought you might want to check out this site RetroMacCast - Where great old Macs live again!. There is a weekly podcast dealing with collecting old Mac and Apple stuff. We have also had some fun interviews with people who have worked for Apple. I wanted to thank you and all the others who have made putting OS X on the mini hardware possible. I have been having a blast with my new "toy". |

| You don't even need to reboot. The basic issue is that because the initial system config app doesn't run, it doesn't automatically configure everything. Hence the need to delete the wireless and then readd it.

The first error is an "Error 1" when DellEFI tries to "Generate a system specific dsdt.aml file". If I just ignore that and keep going, I can install 10.5.7 updater fine, but it hangs forever on reboot after that (spinning cursor). Yes, I always boot into safe mode.... SS |

Dell mini 10v with 2gig RAM Dell BIOS A03 From USB keychain 1. install 10.5.4 2. Do combo updater 10.5.7 3. DellEFI 1.1 with options as in this posting This gets me to a stable place where the 10v boots directly and the main things not working are: 1. audio in/out/speakers 2. trackpad is jumpy-ish SS |
