Default Downgrade your Mini 10v to BIOS A05 without a USB Drive (Using Windows) - 12-10-2009, 05:21 AM

So I got my Mini 10v earlier today and I was all gearing up to install Snow Leopard, but first I had to downgrade my BIOS as my Mini came with version A06. I had read Max_Carnage's http://www.mydellmini.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12408 to get myself familiar with the process, but wondered...

Thanks - the BIOS downgrade bit was the only thing that got me, a soon-to-be newbie Hackintosher, a bit worried.

I've already got the Snow Leopard Install USB Flash Drive readied...thanks to you, BIOS will be downgraded very quickly and then I'll be set to install SL.

I will make sure before flashing BIOS that my 10v (which will have a stock XP installation) isn't set to hibernate, sleep, spin-down HD etc. When installing 10.6, I'll also make sure that Wi-Fi is set to ON (I won't have Bluetooth so no need to switch that ON) which I have heard elsewhere on the forum is good practice...

Now I just need to wait for my 10v to arrive...it' sitting at the in-laws about 200 miles away and will get to me in a week's time...going to be a long wait...

I can also confirm that this process works like a champ. I did it on two 10v's with A06.
