Default Latitude 2100 Drivers Are Up Today - 05-21-2009, 12:59 PM

For those anxiously wondering about the 2100's MacAbility, the drivers might be helpful information.
Audio is shown as Realtek ALC 272 Audio.
I've extracted the touchpad drivers and they are Synaptics.
Also check somms' post about the BIOS.

I've noticed that there are no drivers posted for Linux yet, which is a cause for concern. It's especially problematic since the stock ALSA audio drivers that ship with Ubuntu (and are on the Ubuntu 8.10 DVD included with the netbook) do not work with the internal mic in the 2100. There was a driver disc included with the netbook, but the only Linux driver packages included were for RHEL and SLED (.rpm). I have not tested these yet. There are, however, drivers for the sound card on the Realtek website. The touch screen drivers are available in the regular Ubuntu repos under xserver-xorg-input-evtouch. Everything else, fortunately, worked out of the box.
