Default Windows 7 Brightness Control - 12-04-2009, 05:05 PM

I have successfully installed Windows 7 on my 2100 (upgrade from Mini 10) and am loving this netbook more than I thought I would. I'm having some minor problems, but the one that really has me stumped is the brightness control. I can't get Windows 7 to control the brightness via the Mobility Center (Windows Key+X) or Power Options. The keyboard controls work fine but I like the screen dimming feature of Win7. Can anyone verify that they have working screen brightness in Vista/Win7 (not the keyboard controls)?

My key controls (Fn + up arrow/down arrow) work fine also, but the Mobilty Center does not even have a control for the Laptop screen. Only for an external display or projector mode.

So I guess I am getting the same as you?

Yes, that's the same as me. The keyboard controls work fine but nothing in the Mobility Center or Power Options. Pmronline, you mean to say that you have brigtness control in the Mobility Center?
