I'm in the market for a tablet. So far i have it down to either the acer iconia w500 or the Inspiron duo. First thing I want to point out is that battery life is not important to me at all, the tablet is going to be plugged in 99% of the time. So what I want to know from dell duo owners is if you have this thing plugged in and all the power saving stuff set to max performance will it be able to play 720p h264 movie files? Also how about Netflix streaming and 720p YouTube streaming.

Any first hand experience would be greatly appreciated

Because this system has a built in hd video decoder, the HD playback is ok 720p, 1080p both. You should use mplayer HC.

Cool, and have you tested Netflix out as well? If Netflix looks good on this I think I'll get this instead of the iconia

I used netflix with no issues whatsoever. Smooth, high quality video.
