Not wishing to jump the gun, but i went through the same process with them - they sent me a video of a us model with the slot being used etc etc.
When the dug a little further, they discovered it to be us only. they rather unhelpfully offered me my money back - not a good solution at all frankly.
I will be interested to see if you get anything else out of them, so as Boozly said - please post your results with them, and good luck!!!

they didnt question mine, but I would get it sent back and sorted anyway just in case! you can always send it back again for the sim card slot if they find an alternative solution...
