Hi! Just to let you know that I received the Intel 6230 Mini PCI-E Card this Saturday. I’ve installed it but I have some problems with it. Firstly, it will only go up to 54Mbps on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz 802.11n and will not go any further i.e. 300mbps despite tweaking it in the device manager. Secondly, the Bluetooth doesn’t work! It will only work when installed on a Windows 7 64-bit system not on a Windows XP Pro system! Found this out on Intel’s website. Apparently, it is optimised only for Windows 7 64-bit and the drivers are only available for Windows 7 64-bit. Crap!! Therefore, I’ve ripped this out and put back in my Broadcom Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card. Oh by the way, the Intel 6230 which I‘ve received is an engineering sample :-( ! Only found out after receiving it.
