Yes, it's A06 dated 12/01/2009. For some reason Dell hasn't posted it to their support site. BIOS A04 is dated 11/19/2009. Here's a from the latest Belarc Advisor.

Hrmm...still not available at the Dell site. I wonder if there is a way to dump your bios and upload it for the rest of us?

Yes, it's A06 dated 12/1/2009. IIRC I got my 11z the end of May.

I tried to post a few days back and even added a screen shot showing the BIOS and date, but I kept getting a message saying a moderator had to approve my message. Strange. I posted before w/o incident. Perhaps it's because I tried to link to a photo stored at another site?

The utility I use to update the BIOS on my MSI mainboard allows me to save the existing BIOS prior to the upgrade. The last Dell BIOS I updated was on my 1520, so it was a while ago, but I don't recall seeing that feature.

When I contacted tech support re whether the 11z's internal card reader is bootable or not, the first rep I got wanted me to "upgrade" my BIOS to A04. He didn't even know A06 existed.... Sigh. I persisted and finally got another rep who finally checked the specs after I insisted. I'd suggest seeing if tech support would get you A06, but I'm not very hopeful after my latest experience with Dell's tech support.

I may try to contact them, but I won't hold my breath. After six calls they still couldn't give me the right part number for the new touchpad/palmrest assembly. I had to call my Dell Gold Team at work and have them hunt down the part number for me. I should have the part next week, I'll update everyone as to whether it was the right part number or not!
