I've read a bunch of post regarding mini 9 and 10 and installing OS X on them. has anyone tried to install it on a mini 11z? I recently purchased one and was going to try to use the instruction found here for the mini 10.. I'll post what i find, but was curious to see if anyone else tried this..

I successfully installed OS X 10.5.8 on the Dell Mini 11z using the NBM 8.3 FINAL. though it has issues i still need to address.
1st issue is no sound.. USING VOODOO DRIVER I GOT THE AUDIO TO WORK, BUT THE MIC HISSES AND NO WAY TO MUTE UNLESS DRAGGING THE SOUND
LEVEL DOWN..
2nd issue is video limitations can't get web cam to work though it came up during system setup to set a icon for my user.
3rd having a bit of difficult upgrading to 10.6 i may have miss sometihng but i cant even use it to do a clean install..

i also couldn't use the NBM 8.4 RC1 either it wouldn't run on my mac or on my dell mini.. so still looking into that..

I'm up and running. I have a dell mini 11z intel dual core U4100 1.3 cpu - 4gb RAM - 500gb HDD.

Once you load SL 10.6 reboot. As soon as the system is up and running load applehda.kext (stops the kernel panics), AtherosL1cEthernet.kext (LAN driver) and voodoohda.kext (sound driver). I used NBM 8.4 and NBI 8.4 rc1. The bluetooth doesn't show up but my machine works with it. The webcam works fine too. The only wifi N adapter I've been able to work on OS X is the DW 1510.

I created a dual boot system with OS X and Win7 64 bit. Office 2008 works great. iLife 09 works with the exception of iMovie due to QE/CI incompatibility with the video card.

I've tried to upgrade the OS to 10.6.4 and I lose the sound. Not sure how to resolve this yet.
