Default Bluetooth - 01-23-2010, 12:40 AM

Just got my 11Z yesterday, Have to agree with you on the touchpad, I like it. Go to dell support, you can view the service manual, I saw a picture of the module. under the palm rest on the left side. Instructions there how to install bluetooth and anything else.

I got mine from Amazon, so it came with SU4100/4GB/250GB/Dell 1397 WiFi/no BT/no WWAN. I took it apart today according to the manual available on Welcome to Dell Support and took a lot of pics since I want to update my Wifi to Intel 5150/5350, install Bluetooth (I located the space for it) and A-GPS in the WWAN slot. I also thought about swapping my 250GB to a self-encrypting HDD from Seagate... We will see. If requested, I can post my pics... Anyway, it looks like installing a BT module (Dell Wireless 365 recommended) should be a snap! I love my 11z.

Please see attached. Wifi is bottom-center, bluetooth (missing) - bottom left, WWAN (missing) - top right, memory - center, just above the chipset/CPU combo...

are my eyes deceiving me or is the chipset/cpu/memory a single removable daughter card?

Can it be removed and upgraded? HMMM.
