Default Just got an 11z for my dad - Keep Win7 or flash to XP? - 12-17-2009, 03:25 AM

My dad is not the most computer literate but has managed to navigate the web and play a few games.

His office computer is running XP and I'm a little concerned he may be a little loss with Win7.

I read a few thread that talked about performance improvements goint to Win7 (from Vista I assume)?

Should I flash it to XP Pro or keep Win7?

Leave it with Windows 7 IMO.

You'll need to look at a previous post, but back when the 11z was released, Dell did not release XP drivers.

Yea, defintally keep Windows 7. Your Dad is gonna have to upgrade someday. Might as well start now. I would still do a format using Windows 7. Even though Dell is the best about Bloatware, I still like a fresh start anyways. Plus, if you haven't done it, you'll be amazed at how quick Win 7 install is compared to all other version of windows.
