Default Full 1080 HDMI output possible? - 11-20-2009, 03:06 AM

Hi, I recently purchased an 11z with the Dual core processor.

When I attempted to hook it up to my TV, the max resolution I could display was 1366x768. The native resolution for the TV is 1920x1080.

Is it possible to push 1920x1080 out via HDMI on this machine?

Im not opposed to using PowerStrip if it will work.

Thanks again everyone.

This is odd. I've gotten 1080p out of my 11z onto a television. When I connected the hdmi I used the Intel graphics program to configure the output; I didnt use Display->Screen Resolution in windows. I will try again later and confirm this.

Just tested.. Works PERFECTLY.

Could it be that your TV is 720p?

Yea, mine displays 1920x1080 no problem. Maybe update graphics card drivers or make sure your TV supports that resolution.

Had no probs with the original Vista drivers or with Win7.
When I hook up to the TV via the HDMI I get a warning popup stating the recommended resolution should be 1920x1080

Forgot to mention BIOS has been upgraded to the latest version

I think your problem is that your are duplicating displays instead of extending. When you duplicate it can only give you the max resolution of laptop screen which is 1366x768. When you extend desktop it lets you configure the 2nd screens resolution independently, so you have the the 1080 option.

Right click desktop, go screen resolution, and choose the option extended display.
