Default Flash 10.1 awesomeness - 11-19-2009, 01:46 PM

Here's my story. I have the Celeron 743 (not the 723) with 2 Gigs of ram. She came with Vista and was, no surprise, horrible.

I just got my Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit update. I installed that. Fully Updated. Set to Best Performance (My Computer --right click--> Properties ---> Advanced Tab ---> Performance)

I chose a solid color for my background. I installed Chrome. I installed Microsoft Security Essentials. I then installed the Flash 10.1 Beta and rebooted.

Let me say this, Flash 10.1 Beta with the 11z's GS45 Integrated Graphics is sweet!

I can play 1080p Youtube perfectly fine. It handles 360p, 480p, 720p Hulu fine! Oddly enough I didn't notice much of a drop in CPU use... it's still almost pegged at 100 % but it's perfectly watchable.

I hook the HDMI up to a 1920x1200 display. I leave it set at 1366x768 which my TV displays as a 1366x768 block in the middle. When I go fullscreen in Youtube or Hulu, it does use all 1920x1200 pixels on my display but the 11z upscales from the source to 1366x768 and the TV upscales from 1366x768 up to 1920x1200

Now obviously 480p Hulu is pretty muddy when stretched to 1200p but it's no worse than standard def. TV.

My point is that the Intel GS45 integrated graphics makes this little guy perfect.

I can't wait for me SSDNow V, only 40 Gig to arrive.
