I recently took delivery of my brand new 11z. I agree with what everyone says about the touchpad being a bit difficult to use, but very pleased with it generally.
As with any new Dell PC, the first thing I did out of the box was to get rid of all the dell pre-installed software (windows vista) and replaced it with the retail version of Windows 7 Ultimate. I was able to get everything working fine with the exception of the Bluetooth 365 card.
Having installed the wireless and battery switch software from Dell, I managed to then install the driver from here: Drivers and Downloads
It installed no problem and everything was up and running until the next time I rebooted the PC where the bluetooth icon was nowhere to be seen. Instead I noticed an "unknown device" in device manager together with the status "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".
I am not sure if this is a case of using the wrong driver or a problem with the card itself.
Dell TS were unwilling to help as I am using a retail rather than Dell version of Windows 7. They suggested that I roll back to Vista and then buy a (not quite) free windows 7 upgrade from Dell.
Has anyone else experienced these problems with the Broadcom 365 Bluetooth card? Please help!!
