I just installed Windows 7 64-bit. Only two drivers I didn't use windows update for was chipset and touchpad. Dell has the rest of the drivers on their website (for both 32 and 64 bit). I highly recommend installing this chipset driver over the Windows Update ones. They are usually updated once every month or so till they are fully matured (2 years or so). I will probably check there next month and see if there's an update. Here's the drivers I used:
64-bit chipset & graphics driver
32-bit chipset & graphics driver
For the touchpad it took me forever to find one. Dell site didn't have one. I almost gave up and just installed 32-bit Windows 7. Just before I gave up, I found some that work just like the stock Vista ones. These drivers are great. It's the same touchpad as on the ASUS netbook so I used those drivers.
Here's the link
If you had 32-bit, you should be able to use teh Vista 32-bit touchpad drivers on the dell site. I tried them for the 64-bit and they didn't work. I had to get those ones for the ASUS.
All the rest of the drivers you should be able to get off Dells site. And just outta curiousity, what graphics driver version is yours using windows update? My graphics driver version is 184.108.40.2062 and was released on 8-13-2009.
