Manufacturers of computers should stick to what they know best . . . . Making computers.

Oh. Wait.

ugh LEY!

absolutely hideous. lots of wasted space. much larger than it ought to be. should be optimized for screen presentation - only the thinnest, strongest bezel around the edge, and thin too. looks like they didn't even try. perhaps this is a dry run.

I already have the 3g contract on my mini 9 and my phone contract, too many! Although I'd happily purchase one if vodafone work with it.

I'm excited to see a cheap Android phone, but Dell really went out of their way to cripple the 3i severely. No 3G and no wifi. Its practically a quadriplegic.

Default For China only... - 08-31-2009, 06:34 AM

It's basically been said that this device is now known to be for the China market only. Looks like Dell wants to stick distribution next to manufacturing and test the waters in the smart phone manufacturing market in a market not so close to home, where a real flop would hurt them a bit more (remember the DJ Ditty?).

As much as I love Dell I would rather buy the Sony Ericsson Satio. I think they need to make the design a little bit better as face as looks go maybe making it look similar to the way dell inspiron and mini laptops look with the rectangular shape and nice rounded sides. I'm not sure if I'm descrbing that right I'd just rather see it match more closely to thier laptop design.
