Question Mini 10 vs Mini 10v - 06-25-2009, 06:50 AM

okay, I know some of the differences between the mini 10 and the mini 10v are the graphics chip, the CPU, and the HD screen on the Mini 10, but what else makes them different?? Why would Dell make TWO 10 inch mini netbooks??

The 10v is the cheaper version, it has no tv tuner option, no cooler running Z series processor, no multi touch on the touchpad, no edge to edge glass display...

But the 10v also has user-expandable RAM and can run OS X. The 10 is better suited to video.

On the mini 10..
Don't forget HDMI =) I keep one end plugged into the tv and one wired behind the couch so I can plug it in and pull up whichever avi or mkv i'm in the mood for. The xbox is perfect for playing avi's but it doesn't do mkv's so the HDMI was a big plus for me. VGA would work but you'd have to plug in the aux cable, etc.

On this type of trackpad, since mouse gestures are out, I feel like multitouch is a must.
