Question quick question on numpads - 06-18-2009, 11:38 AM

Hello! first post, woot! i have a dell mini 10 (i know, i know, hoping to sell it soon to fund a 10v) but I would really like to be able to use a numpad without purchasing an external one. does anybody know of any software or other workarounds that will let me use my keyboard as a numpad during a fullscreen game? i would use xp's built in on-screen keyboard but of course, FF VII won't stay windowed :/ anyway, thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Ah, FFVII's crappy layout...I don't know of any good program to relayout keyboard buttons 'on the fly'. Check these out here from a quick google:

Software Download: Change Keyboard Keys

If you don't find anything good program-wise, have you considered just plugging in a regular USB keyboard in front? That way you get your number pad without cost or hassle. Although, it does take away the 'portable' aspect of the Mini... ;-)
