So i downloaded AIM on my mini 9, and my friend says that AIM is not a great program for the mini... I dont seem to have a lot of problems with it, but im nervous that he's going to be right. does anyone else use AIM on theirmini's and if so, is it working ok?

The major thing I have against AIM is that it loads you with ads. I use Trillian instead - not only does it work well, but one program also connects with Yahoo and MSN.

Trillian Pro, which is not free, supports video. I don't know of a reason why AIM should not work for you. It's easy to try it, right?

I don't use AIM on mine. I've used Yahoo with video chat and IM Live but IM LIve doesn't support video chat.

There's also a version of AIM Express on the website if you don't want to install it. As others stated, AIM has ads. I'm sure you'll be fine with the regular version though.

I use Pidgin Portable. Supports a ton of chat clients, has a small footprint and is Open Source (free).
