Default charge mini9 for 24 hours before 1st use? - 05-26-2009, 04:19 PM

Does the mini 9 need to be charged for 24 hours before first use? I just got a refurbished mini 9 (from recoupit) and it came with a paper that said that.

I wouldn't worry about it.

My refurb mini 9 came with a fully charged battery. It appears that they last owner did this already, and it might be the same case for you.

Lithium-ion batteries don't need to be conditioned prior to use, though some older types do. See Battery University for more than you ever wanted to know about battery types and how to get the best performance out of them. I think the specific page for your question is "Is lithium-ion the ideal battery?" (I'm not affiliated with the site, BTW; I just found them recently when looking for answers.)
