Default Segmentation fault on xar command - 05-26-2009, 03:03 PM

Hi everyone,

I have already installed MAC OS X on my Dell Mini about a month ago (using the old method 1) and it works flawlessly, except that I didn't have enough space on my 8Gb SSD to put the boot file, hence I always need to insert my big chunky flash memory stick at boot time. I've tried buying a small one (size-wise), copy the files but it doesn't want to with mechdrew's nice new site (thank you so much !) I decided to redo the entire procedure using the new method.

Now, everytime I go through the procedure to customize my OSInstall to fit on 8Gb, I get an error message "Segmentation fault" after I have modified the Distribution file and attempt the "xar -c -f OSInstall.mpkg *" command.

Anyone can help please ??
