Default Can a Mini running Ubuntu read/write to HFS+ volumes? - 05-15-2009, 06:55 PM

I plan on getting a Mini9 with Ubuntu Linux. I'll also be getting an external hard drive which will be used for backing up BOTH the Mini9 and my Macbook.

My question is: Will the Mini9 running Linux be able to see and write to an external USB2 hard drive if it is formatted HFS+ (Mac formatted) or would I have to format it UFS? My Mac can format the external drive as UFS and read/write to if if neeed.

Any ideas or experiences you can share on this would be much appreciated
